Volleyball head coach, athletes receive OAC accolades

The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) has named Volleyball Head Coach Hallie Donathan Coach of the Year. Sophomore Brooke Fatheree was named First Team All-OAC, sophomore Erin Dickson was named Second Team All-OAC and Jessica Cottle and Brynn Guist were named Honorable Mention All-OAC.

University Chaplain for Student Affairs installed

Rev. Julia Sprague was installed as Muskingum University’s first Chaplain for Student Affairs on October 21, 2018 during the Reunion Weekend @ Homecoming Worship Service.  

Serving alongside University Chaplain Rev. Dr. Will Mullins ’02, Rev. Sprague’s work will focus on supporting Muskingum students in their spiritual development, exploration of purpose, and service to others.

A graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and St. Lawrence University, Rev. Sprague served Muskingum as a Chaplain Intern during the 2017-18 academic year.  
 

Class of 1968 commemorates 50th reunion with gift

The Golden Reunion Class of 1968 commemorated the 50th anniversary of their graduation from Muskingum with a generous class gift of $1,714,491.79 to the University.

Their gift was presented by class representatives Dave Evans ’68 and John Gardner ’68 to President Sue Hasseler on October 19, 2018, during the Reunion Weekend @ Homecoming celebration 
 

Four alumni granted 2018 Distinguished Service Awards

Muskingum University honored four Distinguished Service Award (DSA) recipients during its first Reunion Weekend at Homecoming earlier this month. The award is the university’s highest alumni honor.

Sponsored by the Muskingum University Alumni Council, the DSA recognizes and honors alumni who have distinguished themselves through their professional endeavors and exemplary services to society. Any living Muskingum graduate or former student is eligible to receive this award. Awards were granted to Craig Anderson ’73, John Bollinger ’68, Bev Coen ’68 and Ruth Wasem ’76.

Muskingum grants inaugural Emerging Alumni Awards

Muskingum University honored four distinguished alumni with Emerging Alumni Awards during its first Reunion Weekend at Homecoming earlier this month. Sponsored by the Muskingum University Alumni Council, the Emerging Alumni Award (EAA), established this year, recognizes and honors alumni who in the first 15 years of their careers have made significant contributions to their profession and their world.
