Residents and staff members from Primrose Retirement Community of Zanesville visited Muskingum nursing students on Feb. 16 to distribute gift bags for Random Acts of Kindness Week.
Each year, Primrose Retirement Communities run a national campaign to spread kindness to local communities. Efforts include visits to local colleges, soup kitchens, and other community organizations. During their visit to Muskingum, the Zanesville Community provided gift bags filled with snacks, school supplies, and self-care items. A few lucky students even found Amazon gift cards in their bags.
New Concord, home to Muskingum University, is ranked No. 24 in a nationwide survey to determine the “collegiest” college town.
WMCO 90.7 FM, Muskingum University’s radio station, was one of the 2022 Spirit of College Radio Award winners. The Spirit of College Radio Awards are presented by the College Radio Foundation in recognition of truly outstanding and spirited efforts made by college radio stations on World College Radio Day, which occurred on Oct. 7.
