Spotlight on GCS: James Sturtevant ’83

Muskingum University Graduate Studies Lecturer James Alan Sturtevant ‘83 shares his expertise developed during 34 years as a high school social studies teacher. He focuses on student engagement, on which he has authored five books and hosts a podcast.

“A Muskie all the way,” James grew up in New Concord, where his father David Sturtevant was a Muskingum Professor of History (1955-1994). After his Muskingum graduation, James earned a Master of Arts Degree from The Ohio State University.

Alumni Enjoy Summer Social

Muskingum University alumni enjoyed a summer social at the Railhouse at the East Market in Columbus, Ohio on June 8, 2023.

Sixty alumni from classes ranging from 1960 to 2022 enjoyed a casual evening featuring great conversation and delicious foods from the local vendors at the market.

Muskingum University Announces Alternative Pathway to Master of Occupational Therapy Program

After a successful pilot program in Summer 2022, Muskingum University launches an alternative pathway to its Master of Occupational Therapy program. The MOT alternative pathway enables individuals with a bachelor’s degree in health-related fields to complete prerequisite courses that will lead to admission in the master’s program.
