Alumni & Friends in Action: Ohio Senator Tim Schaffer

For Ohio Senator Tim Schaffer, “My key priority is to help my constituents. With the COVID-19 crisis, their need to access programs and resources offered by the state has never been greater.”

“One of our state government’s greatest challenges right now is the volume of communication coming in to our agencies, which weren’t structured to meet this level of need all at once. We’ve been working hard to increase our capacity in key areas such as unemployment and small business assistance.”

Alumni & Friends in Action: United States Congressman Bill Johnson

Congressman Bill Johnson represents Ohio’s 6th District, which spans an extended geographical area along the state’s southeastern borders.

“It takes more than six hours to drive from one end of my district to the other, so when I’m not in Washington, D.C., I’m usually traveling within the district to meet and listen to my constituents. There is a wide variety of economic sectors in my district – manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, energy, and education, to name a few.”
