John Glenn famously said, “New Concord and Muskingum University are the center of the universe, because if you get your start here, you can go anywhere.” At Muskingum we often share Senator Glenn’s thoughts and wax poetic about the impact our community contributes to the world. This isn’t a marketing concept. It’s not empty copy for our website. It’s the true reflection of the education and experience gained by students, and the dedication of our faculty and staff.
Muskingum University announced that first-year students Karlee Gebhart and Aidan Johnston have been awarded financial support from the Dale W. Dickson Endowed Scholarship Fund.
Ms. Gebhart, the daughter of Christian Gebhart and Kelly Frymyer, attended Cambridge High School where she was a member of student council, was secretary of the Key Club, and was both a varsity cheerleader and dance team member. She plans to study psychology at Muskingum.
Congratulations to Lucas Kaspar '10, B.A. in music education, for his appointment as Assistant Professor of Music at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Lucas will conduct bands, teach low brass, and teach other core and general education music courses. Lucas has been an adjunct instructor at Muskingum for the last several years, where he has taught trombone, Spirit Band, and Jazz Ensemble. We wish Lucas well as he embarks on this exciting new chapter of his life!
