Assistant Professor of Media Communication Michael Carvaines won the Best Short Screenplay Award at the 2022 KinoDrome International Film Festival for his original narrative film "Daphne M."
Muskingum University Educational Support Specialist Linda Hatfield and students in the Audio Production class taught by Associate Professor of Communication Lisa Marshall ’03 have created a new podcast, “Linda’s Keys to Academic Success.”
The podcast was designed for students enrolled in the first-year Keys to Academic Success course, which introduces a variety of academic skills necessary to succeed in college.
On October 27, the Muskingum University Biology Department and the biology honorary society Beta Beta Beta premiered “10,000 Acres.” This multimedia documentary focuses on the history of land use and people in the area now occupied by The Wilds, the largest conservation facility in North America. The documentary looks at the land’s prehistory, its time as a farming community and strip mine, and its reclamation and transformation into a wildlife preserve.
Muskingum University faculty, staff, and students walked to support dyslexia awareness on Tuesday, Oct. 18 for the Second Annual Dyslexia Awareness 5K Run/Walk. With 90 participants this year, 1,050 laps for literacy were completed in an untimed 5K walk/run around the University quad.
