Muskingum University today announced every graduate from the 2019 class of its acclaimed nursing program passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) on their first attempt, marking the fourth consecutive year with a perfect pass rate. In 2018, only 10 programs out of more than 100 in Ohio had a perfect pass rate on the first attempt.
Muskingum University will host Sisterhood ReCoded, a free coding camp for girls 10 to 15 years old, from August 5-9. The camp is designed to engage young girls with interactive and fun technology, and allows participants to meet like-minded friends and college mentors who have a passion for technology.
Muskingum University today announced the appointment of higher education veteran Dr. Michael Malone as associate vice president for Student Affairs. In this role, Dr. Malone will leverage 30+ years of experience to strategically manage all aspects of the Student Affairs Division while working directly with the provost, assistant dean of students, student affairs directors, and the title IX coordinator to contribute to the University’s success.
Former Muskingum men's basketball coach and All-American student-athlete Gene Ford '74 passed away on Friday at the age of 67.
Coach of the 2018 WNBA champion Seattle Storm and 1977 Muskingum University graduate Dan Hughes has been named to the 2020 USA Women's Basketball National Team Olympic coaching staff.
Hughes served on the USA Basketball Women's National Team Player Selection Committee from 2009-2016. He was an assistant coach for the 2018 USA Basketball Women's National Team that won a gold medal at the FIBA Women's World Cup and qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games.
