Visitors Bring Expertise to Campus
Muskingum University alumni and other experts in a variety of fields visited campus during the spring semester, sharing their experiences and perspectives with students.
The Otto and Fran Walter Humanitarian Fellows hosted Dr. Hollie Nyseth Nzitatira for a talk about the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. The Walter Fellows program expands students’ understanding of local and global peace and justice initiatives.
The Campus Connections program of the University’s Impact Center sponsored two visits in the arts and business fields.
Emmy award-winning television, Broadway, and Off-Broadway producer Linda Karn ’76 offered insights to careers in theatre and film. Her varied background has also included being the first female broker at American Express, establishing a financial consulting firm, and founding a candle company.
Jim Jackson ’88, Executive VP & Chief Marketing Officer of Hewlett Packard Enterprises, discussed building a marketing career with Organizational Management students and led conversations with faculty and staff on utilizing technology such as AI in academic programs.
The Impact Center also hosted a speed networking event with alumni and other regional professionals. This event offered students a chance to connect in their fields of interest and to develop their communication and professional etiquette skills.
