President Hasseler Honored with Smart 50 Award
Muskingum University President Susan S. Hasseler was honored with a “Smart 50 Award,” presented by Smart Business Magazine, at a Columbus-area event on August 3.
The Smart 50 Award recognizes 50 top executives in the Central Ohio region for their ability to effectively lead and build their organizations and for their passion for making an impact.
President Hasseler was cited for exemplifying the University’s mission of educating “the whole person for the whole world” and her commitment to ensuring educational affordability and access to students of all backgrounds, from the region, nation, and world.
Muskingum’s commitment to affordability has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report, which ranked the University first among Ohio universities in both Best Value schools and Top Performers in Social Mobility in the 2024 issue of their “Best Colleges Guide.” Muskingum ranked second in Ohio in both categories in the 2022 and 2023 issues.
