Muskingum Forensics Team Dominates State and National Stage, Bringing Home Top Honors!
The Muskingum Forensics Speech and Debate Team ended the 2024-25 competitive season with a bang, or should we say, a gavel?

The Muskingum Forensics Team comprised of students Desire Correa, Tasqeen Dhaliwal, Alyssa Derry, Phil Lashley, Robin Matthews, and Albreah Triplett scored 1st in the state at State Novice and 2nd in the state at State Varsity, both rankings in the President's Division of the Ohio Forensics Association.

This year the team also boasts one state champion and two national finalists: Alyssa Derry, a Junior Communication, Theatre, and English major from Zanesville ranked 6th nationally in Impromptu Speaking at OATS 6, the Online Asynchronous Tournament Series and ranked 1st in the state of Ohio in Broadcasting. Robin Matthews, a Philosophy major and Communication minor from Cambridge ranked 3rd in the nation in Student Congress at the Pi Kappa Delta National Speech and Debate Tournament March 13-16, held at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
The team roster of 10 students is directed by Rachel Pollock, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication, Media and Theatre.
