A team of 5 Muskingum University students won the 2019 “The Pitch” advertising competition sponsored by the Columbus Chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF).
Seniors Jennifer Ritchie ’20, Kelsey Murano ’20, Dana Russell ’19, Grace Johnson ’20, and Leah Robertson ’20 received their award on November 14, 2019 at an AAF professional event.
The competition provides student teams with hands-on experience working alongside an advertising agency on a real-world project for a non-profit organization. The winning pitch is selected by the non-profit from among all team submissions.
Partnering with Columbus-based advertising agency Ologie, Muskingum’s team created the winning pitch for this year’s non-profit, Lifeline of Ohio. The pitch was focused on encouraging 15-18 year-olds to register as organ donors, and the Muskingum team has been invited to work with Ologie in 2020 to create and execute the advertising plan.
