Student writers earn honors in East Central College’s literary competition
Several Muskingum College students have earned awards in the 16th annual Student Literary Competition sponsored by East Central Colleges (ECC), a consortium of nine liberal arts colleges in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Hugh Martin '08 earned second place in the poetry division for his poem, The OIF Soldier and The Iran-Iraq War.
Martin also earned second place in the fiction division for his story, Guard Duty and an honorable mention for his poem, Honestly.
Sarah Anderson '07 earned an honorable mention for her poem, Terms.
Laura Taylor '08 earned an honorable mention for her poem, Mane.
The students’ work will be published in the 2007 ECC Literary Anthology.
