Political Science

Associate Professor of Political Science Richard Arnold recently published several articles for the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA.org): “Counterfeit Cossacks Lured by Putin’s Lethal Bait” and “Russian Cossacks Join the Kremlin’s Imperial Mission.”

Sociology

Professor of Sociology Sandra Schroer presented at the November 2024 Wisconsin Sociological Association annual meeting in Waukesha, Illinois. Participating in a panel on applied sociology, she shared insights from her study, “Utopian Colonies of the Early 20th Century: Applied Sociology in Resistance to the Capitalist Organization of Labor.” Her work examines Walter Thomas Mills’ 1894 theory on "product sharing" as a model for utopian communities, designed to counter capitalist labor systems.
