Laudations is an online collection spotlighting the professional contributions Muskingum University faculty and staff make to their respective disciplines.

HISTORY

Professor of History and Schwartz Faculty Scholar Laura Hilton published a chapter, “The Stateless Struggle to Belong,” in Reimagining Citizenship in Postwar Europe, Rachel Chin and Samuel Huneke (eds.), Cornell University Press, 2025: 25-45.

Dr. Hilton also Prepared and delivered a virtual lecture entitled, "Antisemitism, Rumor, and Propaganda," at the Maltz Museum, Cleveland, OH, in conjunction with their current exhibit, Degenerate! Hitler's War on Modern Art. The lecture explored the long-lasting tropes, images, and rumors that inform the construction and dissemination of antisemitic propaganda. It focused on propaganda from the nineteenth century forward to the present day.

POLITICAL SCIENCE

Associate Professor of Political Science Richard Arnold published two articles in the Jamestown Foundation’s Eurasia Daily Monito: “Russia Prepares for 80th Anniversary of the End of World War Two” and “Russia Increasing Military Buildup Ahead of Negotiations”. Dr. Arnold also published an article “Between Russia and Ukraine—The Cossack Boundary” in Europe-Asia Studies, 77(1), 64–87.

Host Irina Tsukerman interviewed Dr. Arnold for an episode of The Washington Outsider Report on the Coalition Radio.
