Muskingum University

Muskingum College Professor of Education Dr. Linda Morrow ’74 was named “Professor of the Year” for the state of Ohio by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

This prestigious award honors the most outstanding undergraduate instructors in the country. Only one professor in each state is selected in recognition of their excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring.

“We are immensely proud of Dr. Morrow and the far-reaching contributions she has made at Muskingum and in her field of teacher education,” said Muskingum President Anne C. Steele.

A Muskingum faculty member since 1988, Dr. Morrow is co-author of Building on Student Diversity (Sage Publications) and numerous scholarly articles. She has secured more than $2 million in external grant funding.

“In the seventies, my professors at Muskingum inspired me to be and do what I had never even imagined. I try to ‘encourage, equip, and empower’ my students to do what, perhaps, they have never even imagined,” comments Dr. Morrow.
