Schroer named to ACE Women’s Network BoardMuskingum University Professor of Sociology Sandra Schroer has been appointed to the Executive Board of ACE Women’s Network Ohio, an organization working to increase the number of women in higher education leadership positions.
Dr. Schroer is a member of the highly selective HERS Leadership Institute Bryn Mawr 2018 cohort. HERS (Higher Education Resource Services) is an independent, educational, non-profit, women’s leadership development organization.
Dr. Schroer is the Chair of Muskingum's Department of Sociology and Anthropology. She developed and coordinates The Athlete and Scholar's Program (TASP) to support the academic success of the University's first-year student-athletes.
A member of the University faculty since 2004, she is the 2016 recipient of Muskingum’s highest faculty honor, the William Oxley Thompson award for Excellence in Teaching. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Arts, and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Western Michigan University.
