History
Professor of History Laura Hilton will be a Research Fellow at the Center for the Advancement of Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum during July 2024. She will be presenting her research on Displaced Persons, Screening, and Nazi Collaborators at the USHMM International Research Workshop, “The US Military and the Holocaust.”
In April, Dr. Hilton was a panelist for the Holocaust Educational Foundation of Northwestern University Conversation Series: Holocaust Studies, Terror, and War. The virtual event also featured panelists from the Alabama Holocaust Education Center and The Defiant Requiem Foundation, and was moderated by Avinoam Patt, Director of New York University’s Center for the Study of Antisemitism.
Political Science
Associate Professor of Political Science Richard Arnold published several articles in the Jamestown Foundation’s Eurasia Daily Monitor: “New Cossack Societies to Open in Ukrainian Oblasts,” and “Youth Organization Signals Growing Russian Militarization.”
Political Science and Computer Science
Associate Professor of Political Science Richard Arnold and Associate Professor of Computer Science Alisa Neeman published “‘The Last Push from the South?’ Explaining the Spread of Russia’s Cossack Movement” in the journal Problems of Post-Communism.
