Athletic Training Students Take 4th in Ohio in Quiz BowlA team of Muskingum athletic training majors finished fourth in Ohio in the 2019 annual Athletic Training Student Quiz Bowl competition.
Muskingum’s young program is in only the second year of its eligibility to send a team to the competition, which features athletic training program teams from public and private institutions throughout Ohio.
The Jeopardy-style format involves all teams in Round One, with the top five performing teams in Round One moving on to Round Two.
Muskingum’s team of Senior Parker Lee and Juniors Emily Roberts and Blake Horne secured their fourth-place statewide finish by capturing fifth place in the First Round and fourth place in the Second Round.
The Athletic Training program in under the direction of Muskingum University Assistant Professor of Athletic Training Ken Blood, MS, AT. Clinical Education Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Athletic Training Alicia Hurps, MAE, AT, and Assistant Professor of Athletic Training Tiffanie Jones, MS, AT also coached students in preparation for the Quiz Bowl.
