Investigation Fair brings elementary school students to campus
MU Investigates

More than 60 Muskingum students from 17 clubs and organizations presented the MU Investigation Fair under the direction of Associate Professor of Psychology Ana Kehrberg.  The fair  provided elementary school students with 16 different learning activities about the science of the human body.

150 people from throughout southeastern Ohio attended the fair, which was held in the John Glenn Gymnasium on the Muskingum University campus on Saturday, February 24, 2018.

Scientific activities were geared for children at the pre-K through 5th grade levels.  Sponsoring organizations and their topics included:

  • Art Club - Fishbowl Illusion
  • ASA - Germs and Hand-Washing
  • Athletic Training - Bones
  • Delta - Smell
  • FAD - Taste: Jelly Beans
  • Kappa Sigma - Touch: Braille Pictures
  • Phi Tau - Touch: 2-point Discrimination with Markers
  • Neuroscience Club - Brain Cells: Pipe Cleaner Neurons
  • Phi Psi - Mucus: Slime
  • Psychology Club - Brain Changes: Distortion Goggles
  • Tri-Beta - Blood
  • ACS - Digestion
  • Sinfonia - Sound: Kazoos and Balloons
  • Stag Club - Reaction Time: Rulers
  • Theta - Heart & lungs
  • XAN - Memory

The Nursing Student Organization sponsored the registration table and a photo booth.
