High Impact Experiences/Internships

The Impact Center is the premier resource for faculty for internship and high impact experiences.

Our mission is to assist you and your students in developing meaningful and impactful experiences, while eliminating barriers that may prevent students from participating.

High Impact Learning Grant

The Impact Center is dedicated to ensuring that all students at Muskingum participate in at least one high-impact experience during their time here. Thanks to the generosity of Muskingum alumni and friends, the High Impact Experiences Grant has been established. This grant aims to alleviate the financial burdens often associated with these experiences, covering expenses such as travel, accommodations, program fees, living expenses, and materials.

The High Impact Learning Grant is expected to be available to students for spring 2025 semester. The application process will be implemented through Handshake.

Micro-Internships

Micro-Internships are short-term, paid, professional assignments that are great opportunities to demonstrate skills and build experiences. Parker Dewey helps connect talented students with companies for short-term projects.

Faculty and staff may create a Parker-Dewey account to view and monitor student opportunities. Parker-Dewey offers webinars and virtual office hours for students to guide them through the micro-internship process. Watch the Impact Center newsletter, social media, and weekly emails for information on these resources.
