Student-Athletes Earn Accolades

Academic and athletic accolades were recently awarded to Muskingum University student-athletes from conference and national sports associations.

Congratulations and go Muskies!

Baseball: Wyatt Reeder ’24, Weston Melick ’25, and Sam Palmieri ’26 were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Women’s Basketball: The entire team was recognized for excellence in the classroom by being named to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Team Honor Roll.

Men’s Golf: Cameron Henry ’24 and Ethan Miller ’24 were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Women’s Golf: Allison Jurkovic ’24 and Morgan Mullaly ’24 were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Men’s Lacrosse: Spencer Zecchini ’24 was named a USILA Scholar All-American, becoming the first Muskingum men’s lacrosse student-athlete to earn this distinction. He is also a four-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) honoree and a three-time Academic All-OAC selection.

Spencer, Trevor Connolly ’24, and Evan Showler ’24 were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Women’s Lacrosse: Hannah Heyboer ’24, Riley Hudock ’25, and Riley Zwagerman ’25 were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

The entire team was recognized for excellence in the classroom by being named as an Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad. Hannah Heyboer ’24, Kelsey Saxton ’24, Riley Hudock ’25, and Riley Zwagerman ’25 were named to the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll.

Softball: Kalie Eshelman ’24, Madelyn Thomas ’24, Sadie Smith ’26 and Cara Taylor ’26 were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
