Alan D. Hart, 87, of Newcomerstown, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at his home. He was born December 21, 1936 in Coshocton to the late Robert E. and Margaret Esta (Stocker) Hart. Alan was a 1954 Newcomerstown High School graduate and then worked at Pretty Products for 33 years. He was a member of Calvary Methodist Church in Newcomerstown. He was a member of the Lonestar Lodge and was also a member of various Masonic organizations, Scottish Rite of Cambridge, Past Grand High Priest of Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, Prior of Ohio Priory #18, Thirty-third Degree Mason Valley of Cambridge, Knight of York Cross of Honour, Oriental Chapter #106 Order of the Eastern Star and Elks Lodge. On May 7, 1955, Alan married Naundice (Oldt) Hart who survives. He is also survived by his son, Robert Hart (Ramona "Mona" Baker) of Heath; his daughter, Laurie (Mark) Stout of Newcomerstown; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; his in-laws, Frank D. Oldt of Newcomerstown, Mary Rose (James) Meechan of Gahanna, Terry Oldt of Canton, GA, and Sylvia Oldt of GA. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marjorie Hart; grandson, Jason Stout; brother-in-law, Maxwell Gerald Oldt; sister-in-law, Jean Oldt.
