First Friday Professional Headshots- September 6th

10am-12pm- Impact Center

The first Friday of each month, student can receive a FREE professional headshot. This photo can easily be uploaded to LinkedIn, Handshake, and other digital platforms to enhance students' digital brand.

Professional Development: Resumes and Big Interview-September 10th

11am-12 pm Impact Center

Create an outstanding first impression with a resume that is sure to impress. During this workshop, students will learn to leverage the personal resume building tools using the Big Interview platform.

Professional Development: Effective Followership-September 11th

Led by the Applied Leadership Department, students will learn how to participate in the leadership process when you have less authority, power, and influence.

Lunch & Learn: Get Noticed on LinkedIn- September 19th

Students will learn best practices for LinkedIn profile creation, maximize their account to make a strong first impression, and get noticed.

Professional Development: Networking 101- September 24th

11am-12pm Impact Center

The key to successful networking is a well-practiced elevator pitch. It's a great way to make a lasting impression at conferences and other professional settings. During this workshop, students will prepare and practice delivering an elevator pitch.

Professional Clothing Closet Pop Up- September 25th and 26th

10am-3pm- Impact Center

All students should look and feel their best when attending career fairs, interviews, networking events, internships, and university special events. At the Pop-up students will find free, gently-used professional clothing and accessories to mix and match or build a complete outfit.

Khanna Career Connections Conference- September 28th

8:30 to 1:30- Campus Location TBA

This conference style program allows students access to Muskingum Alumni to expand their knowledge within their field of study while building a network of professional connections and mentors. This all day program includes concurrent sessions, networking/career fair, and lunch.

Career Conversations- September 30th

11am-12:30pm- Impact Center

Offered on the last Friday of each month, this grab and go program provides students the opportunity for informal career conversations and advice. Students can drop-in and get any career development questions answered.

Do'nut Stress Open House- October 7th

8am-11am- Impact Center

Kick-off Major Exploration Week by visiting the Impact Center for donuts and a snapshot of activities designed to help students explore careers and choose a major.

Choosing a Career Path- October 8th

11am-12pm- Impact Center

Students will learn how the Focus 2 online platform can help choose a major, explore occupations, and make informed career decisions through assessments of values, skills, personality, and work interests.

Connecting Your Passions to a Purpose- October 9th

12pm-1pm- Impact Center

University Chaplain Derek Wadlington will teach students how self-awareness, service learning, and civic engagement can lead to connecting passions to purpose and a fulfilling career.

There are infinite possibilities of how students can connect a major to a career path. Students will use resources with the What Can I DO With This Major platform and explore where their major may take them.

Ask Me Anything: STEM Alumni Panel- October 17th

11am-12pm Impact Center

Enjoy a virtual discussion on career readiness led by a panel of alumni sharing their experiences from varying STEM industries. Students will gain valuable wisdom from fellow Muskies.

Homecoming Networking Reception- October 18th

3:30pm-5pm- Location TBD

Mingle with a Muskie!

Muskie alumni will offer advice and professional development opportunities to current students during the annual Homecoming Networking Reception.

Professional Etiquette Dinner- October 22nd

5pm-7pm- Location TBD

Employers learn about character, professionalism, and social awareness when dining with prospective employees. During this four-course meal, students learn the rules of proper dinner etiquette.
