Robert Knisely has gained statewide recognition for his performance as principal of Perry Middle School.

The Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators recently chose Knisely as its 2023-2024 Ohio Principal of the Year.

Knisely was among a field of 18 Ohio principals who were nominated for the annual honor. He said his nomination was submitted by Perry Middle School Assistant Principal Amy Stavar.

The school, located in Perry Village, consists of students in grades 5 through 8. Knisely has served as the school’s principal since 2013.
