Michael J. Korba, Sr., Class of 1966

Michael John Korba, Sr (Mike) was born in Canonsburg, PA on May 11, 1944, the beloved son of Michael and Anna (Dubinsky) Korba. He was a 1962 graduate of Canon-MacMillian high school where he ran track, and played trumpet in the band. Mike went onto graduate from Muskingum College, New Concord, OH in 1966. Mike was a proud officer in the United States Navy serving from 1966 to 1988 in various posts in Vietnam, the Philippines, onboard the USS America, the Naval Security Group Headquarters, and at the National Security agency. When Mike retired from the Navy in 1988, he built a 20+ year career as a defense contractor working for various firms. Mike adored his family, and was a loving husband to Alyce, the 2 sharing 50 years of marriage; proud father to Leigh Maxson (Mike), Erin Weseloh ((Liam) and Michael Korba, Jr (Laura). He was the doating grandfather to Sophia Maxson, Logan Weseloh, Abigail Korba, MacKenzie Weseloh, and Graham Korba. All of whom he loved beyond words. Mike was the beloved brother to Joyce Dreeland, and Helen Cesari (predeasced), and was a fun loving brother-in-law, uncle, and cousin. Loved by everyone who met him.
