Muskingum University’s men’s bowling and esports Madden team captured national championships while the STUNT and esports Rainbow Six Siege teams finished as national runners-up and women’s bowling and cheer claimed fourth-place national finishes.

Men’s bowling was crowned the 2023 Men’s Club National Champions in Anderson, Indiana. The win marked the program’s first Club National Championship and fifth tournament victory. Women’s bowling finished fourth at the Club National Championships. Ethan McDonald ’24 was named to the Men’s All-Tournament team and captured the MVP award for the  tournament. Ethan became Muskingum’s first national participant in the USBC Intercollegiate Single Championships finishing 9th out of a 24-bowler field in the Las Vegas, Nevada competition. Kaylee Hauck ’25 was named to the Women’s All-Tournament Team.

Esports swept the top three spots in the ECAC Madden National Championship, with Doug Crawford ’23 in first place earning his third national championship, Owen Hively ’24 finishing in second place, and Justin Adams ’24 finishing in third place. Muskingum’s Rainbow Six Siege team of Cameron Strickland ’23, Nathan Montecalvo ’23, Seth Paczan ’25, Zach Martin ’25, and Larry Kendall ’25 finished as national runners-up; the team has advanced to the national finals in each of the last four seasons. The esports program now has five ECAC National Championships: three in Madden and two in Fortnite.

The STUNT team finished as national runners-up at the 2023 College STUNT Association National Championships at the University of Texas at Dallas. The team’s first national appearance came in their second full season of competition. They finished the year ranked second nationally among Division III STUNT programs and were seeded second in the tournament.

The Cheer team finished fourth in the Game Day Open Division at the National Cheerleading Association (NCA) College Cheerleading Nationals in Daytona, Florida.
