- Instructors will present a powerpoint introduction of the Financial Literacy Program.
- The slideshow will also share some Money Smart tips for first-year students.
Second Semester Seminar class

- Powerpoint introduction of micro-credentials and digital badging
Day 1
- Website Exploration – Grad Ready online curriculum, Student Loans, Career Discovery, Credit Scores
Day 2
- Credit Card activity
Day 3
- Budget activity

Communications are sent out to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. They are encouraged to continue their financial literacy journey in Level 2.
- Blackboard serves as the resource hub.
- Students work individually in a self-paced format to earn two digital badges:
- Personal Credit (topics: Credit Scores, Student Loans)
- Personal Budgets (topics: Banking, Budgets, Paychecks)
- Students’ names are also entered into a drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card each time they earn a digital badge! The drawings take place monthly.
- Level 3

- Students work individually in a self-paced format to earn two digital badges:
- Protecting Your Finances (topics: Savings Strategies, Identity Theft, Debt Management)
- Business Budgets

- Real-World Finances (topics: Grad School vs Real World, Job Search, Car Buying, Paychecks, Taxes, Employee Benefits, Retirement Planning, Home Buying, Mortgages, Student Loan Repayment)
- Insurance Basics (topics: Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Car Insurance)
