Digital Badges
While engaging in the Financial Literacy Program, students will earn micro-credentials through performance-based assessments that showcase skills in specific topic areas.
WHAT IS A MICRO-CREDENTIAL?
A micro-credential is a “mini-degree” earned after fulfilling a set of stated requirements including but not limited to such things as projects, tests, presentations, reports, activities, etc.
WHAT IS A DIGITAL BADGE?
A digital badge is a visual representation or proof of the micro-credential that was earned. The badge can be displayed on any digital platform and can be verified by the viewer online. When the badge is clicked on, a page will pop up that explains what the badge represents, how it is earned, etc.
WHAT DIGITAL BADGES CAN BE EARNED IN THE FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAM?
- Level 1 – Paying for College, Money Management
- Level 2 – Personal Credit, Personal Budgets
- Level 3 – Protecting Your Finances, Business Budgets
- Level 4 – Real-World Finance, Insurance Basics
