Lewis Dwaine Sivard, Class of 1952

Lewis D Sivard, 94, of Fair Oaks, California, went home to be with the Lord on November 15 th , 2022. Lewis, the son of the late Paul and Edna Sivard, was born December 8 th , 1927 in Cambridge, Ohio. Lewis graduated from Old Washington High School in 1945, and married Dorothy Knouff in 1950. He graduated from Muskingum University in 1952 with a B.S. degree in mathematics. In 1952, was employed by Goodyear Aerospace Corporation for 10 years. In 1962, Lewis was hired by Aerojet Corporation so he and his family moved to California. He worked at Aerojet for 30 years working in the Mass Properties Engineering program. Lewis was a veteran of WWII from 1946 1949 where he served in the US Army Air Force . During his service, Lewis was stationed at the Rhine-Main Air Base, near Frankfurt Germany where he maintained the Instrument Landing System during the Berlin airlift. Lewis was very active at his church and was an usher for many years. He loved to travel, especially in their RV. He deeply loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy and his daughter Vereda Williams. He is survived by his daughter Lewette, her husband Mike Wacker and their children, Carissa, Danelle and Derek, as well as his son-in-law Lee Williams and his children Ryan and Kaylee. He is also survived by his three great grandchildren, Theodore, Aftyn, and Noel.
