Nile C. Kamp, Class of 1951

Nile C. Kamp, 93, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Monday April 26, 2021 at Barnesville Hospital. He was born in Middlebranch, Ohio February 7, 1928 a son of the late Carl and Ruby Shaffer Kamp. A graduate of Muskingum College with a Degree in Bachelor of Arts. He was a Travelers Insurance Agent for 30 years and retired from Ormet Corp after 33 years. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Woodsfield, member of VFW Post 5305 and a member of various organizations over the years. He also was a Director of the Woodsfield Savings Bank for 52 years and served as Chairman for 34 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Jane Feldner Kamp, his second wife Darlene Gray Kamp, and daughter Dorothy Geyer. He is survived by two daughters, Julie Kamp of Woodsfield, and Caroline (Byrd) Howard of Somerset, Ohio, brother John P. (Elizabeth) Kamp of New Holland, Pennsylvania, son-in-law Andy Geyer of Norwich, Ohio, two grandchildren Janie E. Geyer and Ben (Megan) Geyer, three great grandchildren Rex, Dori and Vinny Geyer.
