Student Senate Operates Virtually“It is still important for us to be Muskies together, even if we cannot be together in person,” Muskingum University Student Senate President Zoey Stenson ’21 explains.
The Student Senate continues to meet virtually, working to advance multiple projects and continue to fulfill its role as the bridge between students and the University’s administration.
The Senate is developing and will soon be launching multiple student engagement events on social media.
“We want to have some fun together and also receive feedback on what is and isn’t working for our students, what they like and don’t like about online learning, and what they would like to see and know during the coming weeks,” Ms. Stenson noted.
The Senate’s work also continues on Capital Growth projects and with student clubs who had requested or been approved for funding and events.
Opportunities are being explored for completing a variety of initiatives in a virtual way or for rescheduling them for the Fall 2020 semester.
Plans for Fall 2020 already include an exciting kickoff for the Brewed Awakenings weekly coffee house events held in the Chess Center.
The Student Senate elections, which usually take place each spring, have been moved to the fall.
