Muskingum University students celebrated Spring on campus with Greek Week, Prelooza Festival, and Muskie Palooza events.

The annual Greek Week was held April 7-13, 2024, kicking off with Delta’s annual 5K Color Run. Competitions included Banner Decorating, Card Night, Cornhole, Greek Sing, Philanthropy, Spikeball, Trivia, and Volleyball. Phi Kappa Tau was the overall winning fraternity and Chi Alpha Nu was the overall winning sorority. Ulster and Delta Gamma Theta took first in Philanthropy, which was an ongoing pop tab collection.

The inaugural Prelooza Festival was April 13, along with the annual Cardboard Boat Regatta. The Festival on the Quad featured ziplining, inflatables, making custom Muskingum license plates, and carnival food including ice cream, nachos, cotton candy, and kettle corn. Residence Life added to the fun with a rubber duck hunt. Prelooza was created by the partnership of Muskingum Programming Board (MPB), Student Senate, and the Office of Student Engagement, which also sponsors Muskie Palooza.

On April 20, Muskie Palooza brought Mexican cuisine, funnel cake, and lemonade food trucks to the Quad, along with stations for making custom street signs, stuff-a-plush, caricatures, henna, and air-brush beanies and fanny packs, and other fun activities. Giveaways included Muskie Palooza shirts, tumblers, and sunglasses. That evening, the MPB Auction in the Chess Center gave students the opportunity to spend the MPB Bucks they earned by attending MPB events throughout the year. Auction-goers enjoyed cheeseburger sliders, chicken wings, and vegetable, fruit, and cheese platters.
