Rev. Anne Weirich to offer Baccalaureate SermonRev. Anne Weirich, pastor of College Drive Presbyterian Church, will share reflections during Muskingum University’s May 11, 2019 Baccalaureate service celebrating the Class of 2019.
“Rev. Weirich provides her steadfast friendship, wise counsel, and spiritual guidance to Muskingum students, faculty, and staff,” said Muskingum University President Susan S. Hasseler. “She demonstrates a powerful ethos of serving, empowering, and educating others.”
Since becoming College Drive’s pastor in 2013, Rev. Weirich has been instrumental in leading multiple community outreach efforts, including expanding the College Drive Food Pantry and establishing a community garden, clothing bank and the Load of Love laundry ministry. She also founded the Addiction Coalition through the Ministerial Association of New Concord, to provide awareness, education, and advocacy related to all forms of addiction.
Rev. Weirich leads annual pilgrimages to the Holy Land and has served as a leader in church governing bodies at the regional, national, and international levels. She is also a member of the New Concord Area Arts and Recreation District board.
On April 10, 2019, Rev. Weirich received the Mary Townsend Professions Award during the Muskingum Family Y Women of Achievement awards dinner.
