On October 24th, I successfully defended my doctoral dissertation, “Defining Post-Katrina Literature: Hurricane Katrina and Experiences of Disaster, Race, and Environment,” and will be graduating on Dec. 15th with my PhD in Literature and Criticism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
