Twenty years ago today, October 29th, alumnus John H. Glenn Jr. '43 returned to space as part of the Discovery Space Shuttle mission STS-95. In 1998, at the age of 77, Glenn became the oldest person ever to attempt a space flight. He was also the third sitting member of Congress to enter orbit. His participation in several experiments during STS-95 contributed to our scientific understanding of aging and health.
Please join us in celebrating Glenn's life-long dedication to public service and the important role he played in human discovery and exploration.
