The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has named Muskingum senior Robbie Hisey and junior Logan Chuppa to the 2016-17 NABC Honors Court, which recognizes men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season.

Hisey, a psychology and health science double major, played in all 27 games and averaged 10.9 minutes per contest. He shot .519 from the floor, grabbed 45 rebounds and scored 30 points.

Chuppa, a political science major and Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree, saw action in 11 games. He shot .471 from the field and scored 45 points and grabbed 26 rebounds.

The duo helped lead Muskingum to its best start to a season (5-0) since the 1972-73 campaign and to the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Final Four.

The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows:

  • Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
  • Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2016-17 academic year.
  • Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
  • Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
