Jennifer Beach ’87 honored for environmental educationJennifer Beach ’87 was selected from across the Commonwealth of Kentucky to receive a 2018 Excellence in Environmental Education Award presented by the Kentucky Association for Environmental Education.
Ms. Beach is Children’s Programmer at the Kenton County Public Library and a Certified Professional Environmental Educator. Beyond her environmental education work in her role as a public librarian, she provides professional development training for local school teachers and is a frequent presenter at regional and state library events and conferences. She blogs regularly about environmental education topics, particularly the Project Learning Tree program.
The Kentucky Association of Environmental Education (KAEE) is a non-profit professional organization supporting environmental literacy in Kentucky. The Excellence in Environmental Education Awards are presented annually by KAEE to recognize those individuals and entities best-exemplifying dedication, commitment, and influence in the field of environmental education.
