Muskie Student-Athletes Receive AccoladesAcademic and athletic accolades were recently awarded to Muskingum University student-athletes from conference and national sports associations.

2023-2024 Players to Watch in the OAC:
The following were named to the “Players to Watch” lists by the Ohio Athletic Conference for the 2023-2024 season:
- Football: Zuri Edmondson ’24, Austin Willforth ’25, and Antwan Murphy ’26.
- Volleyball: Raegan Flood ’24 and Khloe Taylor ’24.
- Men’s Cross Country: Wade Speeth ’24 and Blake Miller ’27.
- Women’s Cross Country: Kylie Bere ’27 and Caroline Kennel ’27.
- Men’s Soccer: Kia Fowler ’25 and Caden Groff ’26.
- Women’s Soccer: Morgan Meisel ’25 and Madison Yenke ’25.
Women’s Lacrosse: For the first time in the program’s history, the 2022-2023 squad was recognized by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as an Academic Honor Squad. Valerie Deighton ’23, Sara Woods ’23, and Hannah Heyboer ’24 were also named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.
Women’s Tennis: The 2022-2023 team was honored with the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team Award. Kaylee Anstaett ’23, Jane Boyer ’23, Jaquelyn Bradshaw ’24, and Kara Loader ’26 were named ITA Division III Scholar-Athletes.
Volleyball: The 2022-2023 team was recognized for success in the classroom with the United States Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association (USMC/AVCA) Team Academic Award. This marks the tenth time that the Muskingum volleyball program has been honored with the award.
