Primrose Retirement Community Visits for Random Acts of Kindness WeekResidents and staff members from Primrose Retirement Community of Zanesville visited Muskingum nursing students on Feb. 16 to distribute gift bags for Random Acts of Kindness Week.
Each year, Primrose Retirement Communities run a national campaign to spread kindness to local communities. Efforts include visits to local colleges, soup kitchens, and other community organizations. During their visit to Muskingum, the Zanesville Community provided gift bags filled with snacks, school supplies, and self-care items. A few lucky students even found Amazon gift cards in their bags.
Sales Director Cassie Riffee spearheaded the day's activities. She said the goal of this week is "to give back and spread light. Everyone is fighting a battle that we don't know about. This is an opportunity to bring light into the community." Riffee encouraged the students to continue to spread joy by giving back and paying the kindness forward.
Starting in 1995, Random Acts of Kindness Week has been celebrated annually the week of Feb. 17, Random Acts of Kindness Day.
