Head Athletic Trainer
Muskingum University invites applications for its Head Athletic Trainer. This position will provide oversight to and be an active part of the professional staff that provides Athletic Training services to the University's student-athletes. The Muskingum Athletic Department is comprised of 26 varsity athletic programs, 19 of which participate in the Ohio Athletic Conference and Division III of the NCAA.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides evaluation, clinical diagnosis, care, and rehabilitation of injuries to student-athletes, as well as guidance for prevention of injury.
- Provides or arranges for the appropriate medical coverage of varsity and junior varsity athletic practices and events in both the traditional and non-traditional seasons.
- Partners with a local hospital system to recruit, select, assign, mentor, evaluate, and supervise athletic training staff.
- Maintains and supervises athletic training room operations, including record keeping, inventory of equipment and supplies, and budget control.
- Attends and participates in department meetings.
- Represents the University at OAC meetings and within the athletic training community.
- Abides by all policies and procedures set forth by the Ohio OT/PT/AT Board, the NCAA, the OAC, and Muskingum University.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Master’s Degree
- NATA-BOC Certified
- Valid athletic training license in the state of Ohio
- CPR certification
