Graduate Assistant - Registrar's Office

Muskingum University invites applications for a Graduate Assistant in its Registrar’s Office. This position will support the University Registrar’s responsibilities as Muskingum implements its policies and procedures as a teaching institution under a partnership with Acadeum.  Subject to the terms of the University's Graduate Assistant Program, the GA will receive a tuition waiver. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure correct student enrollment information is accurately entered into the student information system.
  • Collaborate with the Business Office to provide accurate billing information.
  • Collaborate with Computer and Network Services and/or the Learning Management Software coordinator to ensure timely and accurate generation of the enrolling student's login information.
  • Send enrolling students a welcome letter with login credentials and additional information.
  • Report student absences to Acadeum during the first week of courses and continue to report student absences, incomplete work, and other causes of concern throughout the term.
  • Enter final grades in the system.
  • Upload Muskingum's fall, winter, spring, and/or summer online courses that will be available in the system to the shared dropbox.
  • Collect and provide all faculty credentials and course syllabi to Acadeum.

  • Acceptance into a Muskingum University Graduate Program.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to build relationships with students with a variety of identities and life experiences.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs.
