Muskingum University invites applications for a full-time, renewable faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in August 2025.  The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses, foster student learning through innovative teaching methods, and provide mentorship to support students' academic and professional growth.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching

• Develop and deliver engaging course materials that encourage critical thinking and prepare students for success and professional advancement in business fields.
• Courses include Operations Management, International Business, Managerial Accounting, Statistics, and Business Ethics.

Advising

• Guide students in course selection, degree planning, and career exploration/advancement, while fostering their intellectual, professional, and personal development.

Community Partnerships

• Build relationships with alumni, industry professionals, and community stakeholders to create partnerships and internship opportunities.

Service

• Actively participate in departmental initiatives, curriculum development, student recruitment, and university committees.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A doctoral degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.  Master’s-prepared candidates with significant industry and/or teaching experience will be considered. 
• Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching; experience in teaching adult learners and using hybrid and online learning formats is preferred. 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering collaboration and a supportive learning environment. 
• A willingness to participate in service and scholarly activities aligned with the university’s mission and goals.
