The Bachelor of Arts in Art requires students to complete foundational courses in drawing, art history, and graphic design, along with specialized courses in their chosen area of focus: two-dimensional, three-dimensional, digital, or theatre art and design. Graduates with a major in art are well-equipped for a variety of careers, including professional artists, graphic designers, or roles in museum and gallery management.
The minor in Art allows students to gain a solid foundation in art and design, offering flexibility to explore various mediums and techniques. The minor complements a wide range of areas of study, enriching students’ academic experiences and broadening their creative and analytical skills.
With the addition of EDUC 315: The Arts in Early Childhood, an Art minor can serve as a concentration within the Early Childhood Education major.
