On Campus
Physical Plant Works to Keep Campus SafeMuskingum University Senior Director of Facilities and Physical Plant Kevin Wagner and his staff are going above and beyond in working to protect the University and our students.
"In such an unprecedented time, we are especially grateful for the dedication of our often 'unsung heroes' on our Physical Plant team and our University Police force, who do so much for our students and our University community behind the scenes," said Muskingum University President Sue Hasseler.
With vigilant cleaning and attention to detail, Physical Plant and the University Police are working closely together to create a safe environment for those students remaining in residence and for staff who must work on campus.
While maintaining and preparing the buildings for our community’s return, Physical Plant has been deploying innovative new cleaning technologies.
They are deep cleaning spaces campus-wide, concentrating particularly on heavily used and closely shared areas such as classrooms, restrooms, the Chess Center, Steele Center, and John Glenn Gymnasium.
They also continue to procure and provide supplies of hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes for those on campus.
During the recent residential move out days, the entire custodial staff was on hand to assist students and families, doing whatever they could to help ease the sudden transition for our Muskies.
