NFL players visit for diabetes awarenessNLF players Charles Harris of the Miami Dolphins and Malik Hooker of the Indianapolis Colts visited Muskingum University’s campus on Friday March 23 to share their stories about how diabetes has impacted their lives.
The players spoke at a campus-wide session and held a private event with members of the Fighting Muskies football team and the local John Glenn High School football team.
Their visit was arranged by The TSL Foundation, established in honor of Tyler S. Lancaster (1994-2017), a Fighting Muskie football player and member of the Class of 2018.
Known to his friends as T-Lo, Tyler grew up in Canton, Ohio with a passion for football. In addition to playing for Muskingum, he also earned a Big Ten Championship ring as a member of Michigan State’s Division I football team. His teammates and friends remember him for his positive outlook and his ability to encourage and support others around him.
The TSL Foundation’s mission is to raise awareness of diabetes, the condition which claimed Tyler’s life.
