Elyssa Hurley

Elyssa Hurley, a music education major, has built much of her college career around her music involvement: she sings in and is president of the Concert Choir; she is a member of Chamber singers and has worked on various Theatre Department productions; and was president of Sigma Alpha Iota, a music sorority.

Elyssa also found a summer job that ties in to her interests and major. She explains, “This summer I will be working at Camp Pinecliffe in Harrison, Maine as a counselor in their performing arts department. My focus will be helping to teach vocals for the shows and services they put on.”

Elyssa also says, “I chose Muskingum mainly because it made the most financial sense, but I also believe that everything happens for a reason. Muskingum has definitely been a perfect fit for me! I never anticipated being a music education major, but being at Muskingum allowed me to easily get involved. I love my major, and am so pleased that Muskingum helped me discover and pursue the career I love.”

Elyssa, a Delaware, Ohio native, graduated in December 2015.
