Muskingum University offers a three-tier Accounting Certificate program.
The program is open to all students with a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. These certificate options may also be completed as part of either an undergraduate or graduate degree program outside of accounting as well as part of a post-graduate professional development program.
Previously completed coursework done at any regionally-accredited college or university may be used to meet the requirements of these certificates provided such coursework is deemed equivalent and is documented by official transcripts of the institution where such work was completed.
Candidates may choose to complete any of the certificate options. Candidates who intend to take the Certified Public Accountant’s examination will be required to meet other requirements in addition to those listed below in order to sit for the exam. These additional requirements are detailed on the website of the Accountancy Board of Ohio. Success on the CPA examination is not required to earn the CPA preparatory certificate.
