Student newspaper website earns award from Associated College Press
The Black & Magenta has earned a 2010 Online Peacemaker Award for its website, www.bandmonline.com. Granted by the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP), the honor is given in recognition of innovative and creative college news websites.
In naming the winners, the ACP’s judges cited, “...a consistent, excellent combination of presentation and editorial content,” and “...editorial content that whether national, state or local was relevant to campus life.”
The editor of The Black & Magenta for the judging period was Joshua Chaney, who graduated from Muskingum in May 2010. The faculty advisor of the paper is Associate Professor of Journalism Dr. Vivian Wagner.
