Pre-Social Work Minor
The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) acts as the accrediting body for degrees in social work at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral level with a focus of shaping the profession’s future through educating competent professionals, generating knowledge, and exercising leadership within the professional community. The accrediting body for social work programs requires certain skills of students entering at the master level.
By reviewing the accreditation body’s materials and the admissions requirements of the universities in Ohio who offer an accredited Master’s of Social Work degree, our Pre-Social Work minor was created. The chosen courses provide the skills you will need prior to applying to graduate programs in social work and allow for a strong foundation of skills and knowledge for you to build upon when you enter a graduate program in social work.
