We offer a cutting-edge curriculum at the forefront of innovation in music studies. You’ll learn conventional skills in music performance, analysis, and pedagogy, but also contemporary skills in music recording, song writing, and entrepreneurship. Interested in teaching? OUTCOMES
The music program at Muskingum University prepares students for careers in music education, music performance, commercial music, nonprofit organizations, and more. Music education graduates consistently find employment in public and private schools. Other graduates are active performers, both in Southeastern Ohio and across the country. Many Muskingum music majors pursue graduate study in music performance, music education, or related fields. Recent graduates have attended The Ohio State University, Cleveland Institute of Music, University of Akron, University of Colorado Boulder, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and University of Nevada at Reno.
